We are happy to announce that registrations for the 12th edition of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) are open from today until 13 November!

Get ready for another edition of the EWWR, taking place from 21 to 29 November. We are sure that 2020 gave you a lot of food for thought on lifestyles and sustainability. So now it’s time to act! Starting today, head to our brand-new EWWR website and register your action to join the biggest European campaign on waste prevention.

Public authorities, associations, businesses, schools and anyone interested can organise an action focusing on the "3Rs": Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Actions can vary from workshops and exhibitions to contests and fun games, digital clean-ups, always with the same aim: raising awareness about waste reduction!

We know that this year, the circumstances are different than usual. The COVID-19 pandemic might be discouraging us and preventing many people from taking action. But if you are among those who can take action, your support is needed now more than ever! It’s time to send out strong and positive messages and we are sure that you will find original ways to do so.

Have you checked out this year’s thematic focus on invisible waste already? We’ve prepared some dedicated tools on this topic, discover them!

So, pick an idea and register it! It’s very easy, go on the EWWR website and follow the instructions. We are looking forward to discovering all your great actions!

2019 was another record-breaking year for the EWWR, with 16,570 actions organised in Europe and beyond. Will you help us to do even better this year?

Use #EWWR2020 and #invisiblewaste to spread the word on social media.

Please do not hesitate to contact your local coordinator or the EWWR Secretariat if you have any questions.

We encourage you to take part in the EWWR respecting the official COVID-19 precautionary measures in place in your country.
