National Stop Food Waste Week runs from 12th-19th June

The EPA is reaching out through media campaigns and into workplaces with hints and tips to prevent food waste.

This year is all about ‘Working to Reduce Food Waste’ and throughout the week the EPA’s Stop Food Waste campaign will be sharing information and resources to help you and your workplace Stop Food Waste!

As part of the week, Stop Food Waste will support businesses that want to get involved and provide materials for a programme of information, tips, recipes and prizes to be disseminated to employees during the week.

  •      Wednesday - Awareness about the issue of food waste in the workplace
  •      Thursday - how best to segregate and manage food waste in workplace settings
  •      Friday – Food waste prevention solutions in work
  •      Weekend – planning, shopping and meal prep
  •      Monday – Love your lunch and weekend leftovers
  •      Tuesday – launch of the Stop Food Waste Workplace training
  •      Wednesday – Forum on Food Waste
