How to Compost at home to save money -Walkinstown Library

Description:

Craig Benton, known as Dr. Compost here in Ireland, will talk about how to compost at home.

He will provide an overview of the biology and essentials of composting for both garden and food waste, including what can and should not be composted at home. He will discuss the various systems available for composting garden materials including mulching, holding bins and leaf mould cages. He will then highlight some of the systems available to safely compost food including green cones and worm bins.

Finally he will talk about how to use compost around your home and what the benefits of using it are. For even those that are already composting, this presentation will give you tips on how you can improve your composting technique.

A Q&A session will follow to answer queries and concerns that people have about all things compost.
